Monique Lhuillier is famous as a fashion designer for her bridal brand, and her name is nearly synonymous with wedding gowns. However, the talented designer has now launched her own new fragrance and is now foraying into the beauty space. The perfume has notes of bergamot, rose, freesia, and lily of the valley, and the packaging is designed around a pink flower theme.
Making Her Own Perfume Was Something Lhuillier Wanted to Do for a Long Time
Lhuillier is one of the designers who will always represent the pinnacle of bridalwear. She has made dresses for many events and people like Michelle Obama and Lauren Conrad. Still, Lhuillier says she wanted to make her own fragrance for many years. She even remarked that it was the missing link in her brand. The designer also seems to share the idea that perfume is the final accessory to an outfit.
The New Fragrance Is Called Monique Lhuillier Eau de Parfum
The eponymous fragrance was developed in about a year, and Lhuillier joined forces with perfumer Maurice Roucel to find the ideal balance of sensual and sweet. Lhuillier has used flowers that match her brand, including her favorite North Star. She says that there is a floral inspiration to everything she does. Her hopes for the new fragrance are to achieve the same thing she does with her dresses – to make women dream.
The designer and maker of the new perfume says she pulled a lot of inspiration from her dresses to create the bottle and packaging. Using blush pink, which is a signature color for her work, she has designed the bottles with flowers in mind. Lhuillier says she pulled elements from the embroideries of some of her previous dresses for the design and used them as a texture instead of a pattern. The bottles for the perfume come in three different sizes, including travel size, and the fragrance offers other items, including essence spray, lily candles, essence diffuser, and more.
