Emma Stone looked stunning in a little white dress by Louis Vuitton at the Met Gala 2022 red carpet. However, the dress seemed rather familiar. After squinting our eyes, trying to think where we last saw this dress, there was a eureka moment. She had worn this LWD once before, at her own after-party of her rather secret wedding in 2020 to now-husband, Dave McCary. It also reminded us that we never had the chance to see the pictures of the wedding considering how private an affair it was. So, this outfit was a revelation and the first look of her wedding outfit. We couldn’t be happier!

It Was Her Wedding Dress

While we enjoyed watching Emma Stone glide through the red carpet in the chic little dress by Louis Vuitton, the brand themselves mentioned that it was the actress’ actual wedding outfit. They made this revelation on their Instagram post that featured Stone along with Nicolas Ghesquiere, a designer with Louis Vuitton, and Hoyeon Jung, a model from South Korea. The post read, "Sartorial revival. @NicolasGhesquiere, #Hoyeon, and #EmmaStone in #LouisVuitton at the #MetGala. Emma Stone gives a second life to a white dress specially designed for her wedding after-party, while Hoyeon wears a structured cut-out dress from the Cruise 2017 Collection."

Making a Sustainable Statement

Is this Stone’s way of making a style statement about being sustainable? If it is, then we are all for it! We must say that the La La Land star looks gorgeous in the white outfit with sheer straps and feather helms. The shoes, the chain strap, and her hair tied up into a bun give off a ballet-like feel. This makes us wonder how she styled this outfit on her wedding day. Hopefully, that too will be revealed sometime in the near future.
